Ministry Review of CCEYA

The Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA, 2014) came into effect August 31, 2015.  The CCEYA requires the Minister of Education to conduct a statutory review of the Act within five years of its coming into force. The Ministry of Education (MEDU) looks forward to consulting with families and child care partners to gather input on ways to enhance the early years and child care system.

The MEDU has launched two surveys online – one for families and one for child care sector partners, including those who work and volunteer in the childcare and early years system – to support the review of the CCEYA and to guide future child care planning for the province. The surveys are available on this website until July 21, 2020.

The MEDU will also receive submissions from individuals and organizations. Please feel free to send submissions to cceya_consultation@ontario.ca by July 31, 2020.
