Kids & Us EarlyON program is hiring a Registered Early Childhood Educator with experience in working with parents and children 0-6 years of age. This 1 year contract position is to fill an upcoming vacancy at the Markdale location with community outreach sites. The position is 37.5 hours per week and will commence in June 2026.
Working with a four-member EarlyON program team, the successful applicant will possess;
- Experience in working with young children
- Ability to support parents and caregivers of these children
- Knowledge to connect parents and caregivers to child and family supports in the community.
- Capacity to provide both in person and virtual programs to children and caregivers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Social Media
Job Duties include;
- Planning and flexible implementation of child and caregiver programs as well as parenting programs, in-person and virtual.
- Assigned outreach programs in the Markdale area.
- Organizing and implementing special community events including but not limited to; School Readiness Programs, Literacy Programs, and Saturday Early Learning Events.
- Data entry into EarlyON database.
Job Requirements include;
- Energetic, outgoing and positive attitude
- Current registration with OCECE
- Valid Drivers License and Vehicle
- Microsoft Office Competency
- First Aid/CPR with Infant Resuscitation
- Current Police Record Check
Compensation package includes;
- Personal Leave above ESA requirements
- Mileage for work related travel
- $24.45 – $25.14 per hour
